On 8^th December 2011 a report on care home residents’ expectations and experiences was published by the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) at the University of Kent.  Commissioned by the RNHA, the PSSRU report sets out the findings of interviews conducted with a randomly selected group of residents just after they had moved into their care homes and three or months later when they had settled in.
